“..........olması olası”, “..........olması olası değil” anlamına gelen bu ifadeler "may" "might" yerine bir olayın olma olasılığının kesin olmadığı durumlarda kullanılırlar.· Acording to recent polls, they are likely to lose the election.
· He is unlikely to arrive late. He knows how important this meeting is.
· They are likely to get married. They have been dating for a long time.
Olasılık ifade eden sorularda may/might yerine "be likely to" yapısı kullanılır.

May as well / Might (just) as well + Do something
“may / might” modal'lanndan sonra “as well” Kullanıldığında “.......yapabiliriz çünkü yapacak daha iyibirşey yok ya da....... Yapmamamız için bir neden yok” anlamı ortaya çıkar.· We may as well sit at home and watch our new CDs if you want.
