Have got / Has got


Have / has got '' Türkçe’ye '' sahip olmak '' diye çevrilir. Çünkü en yakın anlam budur. Cümleyi okuduğumuz zaman aklımızda cümle öznesinin sahip olduğu bir şey belirir. Ama dikkat etmek gerekir ki biz bunu söylerken Türkçe’de başka şekillerde ifade edebiliriz. Yani sadece sahip olmak şeklinde değil, ayni zamanda '' var (dır) '' şeklinde de çevirebiliriz. Özne she, he, it veya tekil bir şahıs olduğunda ‘has’ kullanılır. Özne I, you, we, they veya çoğul olduğunda ‘have’ kullanılır.

1. “Have got” kalıbını sahip olduğumuz kişi ya da şeylerden bahsederken kullanabiliriz.
  • I have got a small house. (Küçük bir evim var (dır.)
  • You have got a nice car. (Güzel bir araban var.)
  • We have got good friends. (İyi arkadaşlarımız var.)
  • They have got a cat. (Onların bir kedileri var.)
  • You  have got a computer. (Sizlerin bir bilgisayarı var.)
  • She  has got short hair. (Onun (kız) kısa saçı var.)
  • He  has got some money. (Onun (erkek)  biraz parası var.)
  • It has got a long tail. (Onun (hayvan) uzun bir kuyruğu var.)
2. “Have got” kalıbını insanları, hayvanları ya da eşyaları tarif ederken kullanabiliriz.
  • John has got long hair. (John’ın uzun saçları var.)
  • Birds have got wings. (Kuşların kanatları vardır.)
  • The table has got two legs. (Masanın dört bacağı var.)
3. “Have got” kalıbını hastalıklardan bahsetmek için kullanabiliriz.
  • I’ve got a headache. (Baş ağrım var. / Başım ağrıyor.)
  • My dad has got a toothache. (Babamın diş ağrısı var. / Babamın dişi ağrıyor.)
4. Bazı kalıplaşmış ifadelerde “have got” kalıbı kullanabiliriz.
  • I have got a problem. (Bir sorunum var.)
  • She has got a question. (Onun bir sorusu var.)
Bu tür bir cümleyi olumsuz bir şekilde ifade ettiğimizde anlamı sahip değildir, veya yoktur olur. Basitçe ‘not’ kelimesi ‘have’ veya ‘has’ dan sonar kullanılarak olumsuz yapılır. Kısaca ‘haven’t got’ veya ‘hasn’t got’ kullanılır.
  • I haven’t got a watch. (Bir saatim yok.)
  • We have not got a large house. (Bizim geniş bir evimiz yok.)
  • They haven’t got a car. (Onların arabası yok.)
  • Ahmet has not got a sister. (Ahmet’in kız kardeşi yok.)                 
Bu tür bir cümleyi soru şekilde ifade ettiğimizde basitçe ‘have’ veya ‘has’ ı cümlenin başına getiririz.
  • Has your brother got a car? Yes, he has.
  • Have you got a pen? Yes, I have
  • Has she got any brothers? No, she hasn’t
  • Have it got long wings? Yes, it has.

" Have" fiili GEÇMIŞ ZAMAN olarak kullanılmak istendiğinde, "had" şekline dönüşür.
  • Ayşe had a cat two years ago. (İki sene önce Ayşe’nin bir kedisi vardı.) 
  • Ali didn't have a car last year. (Geçen sene Ali’nin bir arabası yoktu.)
  • I had many books when l was a student.  (Öğrenciyken benim birçok kitabım vardı.) 
  • Did you have a blue dress last year? (Geçen sene senin mavi bir elbisen var mıydı?) 
  • No, l didn’t have a blue dress last year. (Hayır, geçen sene benim mavi bir elbisem yoktu.)
