Birleşik sıra sayılarında, sadece son rakam sıra sayısı olarak okunur.

521st = five hundred and twenty-first
9,111th = nine thousand, one hundred and eleventh

Rakam olarak yazıldığında, son iki harf rakamın sonuna eklenir.

first = 1st
second = 2nd
third = 3rd
fourth = 4th
twenty-sixth = 26th
hundred and first = 101st

Unvanlar

Kralların, kraliçelerin, sultanların unvanları roma rakamları ile yazılır ve konuşulurken 'the' tanımlayıcısı bu rakamla birlikte sıra sayısı olarak okunur.

Türkiye'de tarihi gün / ay / yıl sıralaması ile yazarız. Avrupa ülkelerinde de bu şekildedir. Ancak Amerika'da, tarih yazılırken ay, günden önce (ay / gün / yıl) yazılır.

Ayin günü söylenirken, daha önce öğrendiğimiz sıra sayıları kullanılır. (First, Second gibi)

Özellikle Amerikan İngilizcesinde, hızlıca söylemek için sadece kaçıncı ay ve kaçıncı gün olduğu sayılar ile söylenebiliyor. Buna en güzel örnek de 11 Eylül tarihidir. 11 Eylül, 9/11 olarak yazılır ve "nine eleven" olarak söylenir.
