CAN and CAN'T

Can; özel yardımcı fiili - ebilmek, - abilmek anlamında, kişinin kolayca yapabildiği eylemi anlatırken - başka ifade ile doğal yeteneğini de belirtirken - kullanılan yapıdır. Örnekleri inceleyiniz:

• A farmer can grow fruit and vegetables. (Çiftçi, meyvalar ve sebzeler yetiştirebilir.)
• A movie director can make movies. (Film yönetmeni, filmler yapabilir.)
• A maid can clean the house very well. (Hizmetçi, evi çok iyi temizleyebilir.)
• A lawyer can help people in a court. (Avukat, mahkemede insanlara yardım edebilir.)
• A dentist can pull out teeth. (Dişçi, dişleri çekebilir.)
• A clown can make people laugh. (Palyaço, insanları güldürebilir.)
• A teacher can teach us new things. (Öğretmen, bize yeni şeyler öğretebilir.)
