Gerunds with Nouns
Fillimsiler (gerunds) bazı isimlerinde arkasından kullanılabililer. Ancak, bu isimler uygun edatlar alarak bu şekilde kullanılabilirler. Bu yapıları bütünü ile öğrenmemiz gerekir.* difficulty: | in sıkıntı çekmek |

Bu yapıları kullanırken, gerund un başında possessive adjective (my. your, his,olarak kullanılır. (Başında yıldız bulunan yapılarla possessive kullanılmaz.)
- I am not in favour of your going abroad for education.
- In exchange for your taking the time to help me. I want to do for you.
- I have a great interest in his singing.
- I had great difficulty (in) finding a flat at a price I could afford.
- You will have no difficulty/won't have any difficulty (in) answering the questions about the prepositions if you learn all of them by heart.
