INFINITIVE WITH TOO AND ENOUGH
Too + adjective/adverb ve adjective/adverb + enough yapıları kendilerinden sonra infinitive alır.
· This safe is too heavy. Nobody can carry it.
This safe is too heavy to carry.
(Bu kasa taşınamayacak kadar ağır.)
İkinci cümlenin sonunda yüklemin nesnesi durumunda olan "it" sözünün “too”'lu cümlede kullanılmadığına dikkat ediniz. Bu cümlede infinitive, passive yapıda bulunmadığı halde, cümlenin anlamı passive'dir. Bu nedenle iki cümleyi birleştirdiğimizde, yüklemin nesnesi özne durumuna geçmiştir (This safe). Bu cümlede eylemi yapmanın kimin için zor, kolay, vb. olduğunu ifade etmek için for + noun/pronoun kullanabiliriz. Bu durumda cümleyi Türkçe'ye active olarak çeviririz.
· This safe is too heavy. I can't carry it.
This safe is too heavy for me to carry.
(Bu kasa benim taşıyamayacağım kadar ağır.)
Too + adjective /adverb kalıbı yapı olarak olumlu olmasına rağmen anlamca olumsuzdur.

(Bir şey söylemek için çok erken.)
· He is too young to take responsibility.
(Sorumluluk alamayacak kadar genç.)
· The wall is too high to jump over
(Duvar üzerinden atlanamayacak kadar yüksek.)
Adjective/adverb + enough, olumlu cümlede kullanıldığı zaman, eylemin yapabileceğimiz ölçülerde olduğunu ifade eder.
· This safe is light. I can carry it.
This safe is light enough for me to carry.
(Bu kasa benim taşıyabileceğim kadar hafif.)
· This safe is light. Anyone can carry it.
This safe is light enough for everyone to carry.
(Bu kasa taşınabilecek kadar hafif.)
· The speaker didn't speak loudly. We couldn't hear him very well.
The speaker didn't speak loudly enough for us to hear him well.
(Konuşmacı bizim iyice duyabileceğimiz kadar yüksek sesle konuşmadı.)
· This box isn't big. It can't hold all the materials.
This box isn't big enough to hold all the materials.
(Bu kutu büyün materyalleri alacak kadar büyük değil.)
Too ile ifade ettiğimiz bir cümleyi, kullanılan sıfatın ya da zarfın zıt anlamlısını kullanarak, olumsuz bir cümlede enough'la da verebiliriz.
· He is too old to get married again.
(Tekrar evlenemeyecek kadar yaşlı.)
He isn't young enough to get married again.
(Tekrar evlenecek kadar genç değil.)
· The house is too small for ten people to live in
(Ev içinde on kişinin yaşayamayacağı kadar küçük.)
The houser isn't big enough for ten people to live in
(Ev içinde on kişinin yaşayabileceği büyüklükte geğil.)
Enough, bir sıfat ya da zarftan sonra (strong enough, rich enough, etc.) bir isimden önce gelir: (enough strength, enough money, etc.)
· The new manager is not experienced enough to overcome big problems
The new manager doesn’t have enough experience to overcome big problems
· He is courageous enough to fight against the corruption
He has enough courage to fight against the corruption
· There are enough chairs for everyone to sit.
Yüklemin nesnesinin kendine ait bir preposition'ı varsa, too ya da enough ile kurulmuş cümlenin sonunda ait olan o preposition kullanılır.
· This knife is sharp. You can cut this meat with it.
This knife is sharp enough to cut this meat with.
· This house is too old. You can’t live in
